[Nobug] Deadline for next NoBug release and PDF's

Morning,
Yes, indeed, I plan to do something.

Unfortunately my computer is on the wobble at the moment, I fixed
up an old one at the weekend, so I didn't get to do a lot of NoBug
at the weekend.

I'd like to do the following:
Long-term I'd like to write a tutorial. This would mean that we
could do more examples, a little longer explanations which is a little
lacking, I think, from the present documentation (and rightly so!).
It wouldn't be right to put that kind of stuff into the documenation
itself, which would then be too long; and, anyway, that's not the
purpose
of the documenation, which should remain as the main reference point.
The tutorial should ideally be short, just a sort-of-inofficial
'getting started' thingy. The idea is to get something finished and
possibly get feed back from this mailing list.

Again, that's long-term, time permitting.

But to meet the mid-August deadline, I'd like to re-work the main
documentation. I don't think any essential changes need to be made
there---apart from the new feature---just a matter of lucid
presentenation.

You mention
    > ...some documentation review, formatting and
    > stylesheets for PDF generation have to be done
The pdf version might profit somewhat by a few changes to the pdf
style sheet. That would be nice especialy since it is being printed.
Have you got someone in mind for the style sheets?

For documentation review, rework or even doing I'll have time in the
evenings. As long as 100 pages dont't arrive on midnight the 14'th, I
don't envisage any great difficulties there. The sooner you check
stuff in, however rough, the better it is for me to get to work on
the suff.

OK, that's enough bla from me for the moment, just let me know
what you think.

Cheers

Benny

Subject: [Nobug] Deadline for next NoBug release and PDF's

Hi,

as possibly all here know, we are going to FrOSCon with the Lumiera
Team. Like last year I plan to do a bit NoBug promotion there too. My
idea is to have a few printed manuals as giveaways to (very) interested
People. There is still some work to do before NoBug is ready for the
next release, mainly the new features (fault coverage checking) need to
be documented (I am working on that) and maybe some planned features
need to be implemented (well, I will not rush anything in, just when it
works in time). Further some documentation review, formatting and
stylesheets for PDF generation have to be done. I know that some people
wanted to help with this things, I don't know how your time constraints
are, but to make it possible to have this available for FrOSCon please
inform me if you can spend any time on it ASAP. Of course it is ok for
me if you can not spend any time soon on it, I just need to be informed
to plan ahead what needs to be done (by me) for the next release and the
PDF's. So I declare a voluntary deadline for the next release at Sun 15.
Aug. anything later will likely not makeing into the release. If anyone
of you has some half finished work please push this to some public
repository (mob) at least so I can pick this up and complete it.

	Thank you very much,
		Christian
